Food-Ordering Apps

Yay or nay?

So many restaurants are pushing their food-ordering apps lately, and I wanted to see who is actually using these glitchy apps on the regular. Each time I try to use a food app--whether it's for a coffee shop, fast food, a restaurant, whatever--it usually glitches or says that it's currently not available, etc. Who has space for apps like these or time to make an order only for it to be denied? I've even ordered, been charged and had my money reimbursed days later after being told the order was denied!

Are these apps even worth the trouble? Are their email deals worth it, either? Subway's deal today, for example, is free bacon on a sandwich or salad. This reminds me of the Chipotle versus Qdoba thing years ago. Shouldn't bacon just be included with the price of a sandwich or salad? I remember when a deal was really something worth planning your day around, like a freebie or at least a BOGO. This kind of deal does not send me running to plan a purchase I otherwise would not have made into my schedule.

Do you think food-buying apps and email deals are worth the time or not? Whose is actually worth using? Share your thoughts in the chat.
