Have you ever taken a stab at it?
The other day I saw a post about a mom who makes perpetual stew. I had no idea people actually made it at home! I always thought it was a restaurant or business venture and not something families wanted. But this mom was very excited to share how she makes it for her house of growing teens.
The mom said the key was to avoid veggies that would not do well in the soup as well as dairy products to keep it working as long as possible without any spoilage. She said they tended to just throw leftovers together or in it, too!
